“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;”
Even if you’ve been a Christian for a short while, you are without a doubt familiar with today’s text. If you’ve ever tried to cast out a demon or reverse a devil-manipulated situation, you’ve probably used it.
Today however, we’ll be taking a closer look bearing the post texts in mind. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),”
How do we refute arguments, theories and reasonings that set themselves above the knowledge of God? By teaching the truth! The church is fighting the wrong battles with warfare prayers. False doctrine is the number one enemy of the Church, and the most effective way to stop the devil is to help people understand the word of God for themselves. Take your bible study more seriously today and find ways to help others better understand God’s word as go about your day today.
