Rom 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

The above scripture calls for concentration in the place of prayer. Concentration is one thing that that makes the difference in Prayer. We see our Master Jesus exert focus and emotion in the place of prayer.

The first part of Matt 26:39 says And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed….

This is also ensuring that all form of distraction is eliminated- If being around people will cause you to be distracted, Look for a solitary place (like Jesus did). If your device will cause you to be distracted, Put it away.

Also, don’t allow your mind wander away- Think of all you have to say to your Father conscious of the fact that he is there with you; when you do this, you are unlikely to run out of words.

The latter part of James 5:16 says …The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. This informs us of the necessity to have our emotions invested in the place of prayer.

So, the next time you pray, starting from today, be conscious of the fact that concentration matters.
