“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
2 Cor 5:17
Now that you are in Christ (to be in Christ means to be born again), you are a new creature! It turns out that man wasn’t the last creation of God after all; the new man is!
The new man is the workmanship of God ‘created’ in Christ.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
James 1:18 says “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures”. Not only are we God’s workmanship, we are the first fruits of His creatures, Halleluyah! The new man is the greatest and best of all God’s creation.
Brother, sister, now that you are in Christ, you are entirely new. See yourself as new. Behold! All things are become new (2 cor 5:17). The old nature of sin is gone.
You were created to do good works. In times past, you couldn’t do the will of God, but in Christ, God is working in you to will and to do of His good pleasure.
“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
Your success in your walk of sanctification requires that you acknowledge this, and thank God for it. If God calls you new, you are!
Say This: I’m a new man in Christ. I am God’s workmanship created to do good works.
