LIVING UNTO HIM

“And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.”
2 Corinthians 5:15

As someone who Christ died for, what matters to Him must matter to you. The life you’re living is His life. He died for you so that you can live for him. Your priorities, time, money decisions and relationships must revolve around this.

So, how do you figure out what’s important to God? You don’t have to look any farther. You don’t have to fast for days to discover it. It’s so simple, you’ll know it before the end of today’s article.

God’s plan is first that all men are saved. God wants everyone delivered from sin and eternal damnation.

“This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our saviour who will have all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
1 Timothy 2:3

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
2 Peter 3:9

No person who has rejected Christ, no person who does not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, can ever know the will of God.

It’s pointless for such a person to seek the will of God in a marriage or a relationship or a job or a career or a life decision of any kind.

If you’re not saved, then you don’t even have the right to ask God to disclose his will (1 Cor 2:9). So it’s important to God that you know him and causes others to do the same.

Secondly, He plans that all men are conformed to the image of His Son (Romans 8:29).

This means that you must take your ministry as a believer very seriously. Not only must you preach to people, but you are also to disciple them. You must grow in your knowledge of him and cause others to do the same.

Thirdly and lastly, you are to partner with Him to achieve all of these.

God isn’t going to evangelise to people independent of the believer’s involvement. You need to be actively involved in making sure that God’s will is done.
