“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”

(2Co 5:17).

Now that you are in Christ, you are a new creature! It turns out that man wasn’t the last creation of God after all; the new man is!

The new man is the workmanship of God ‘created’ in Christ (Ephesians 2:10). James 1:18 says “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures”. Not only are we God’s workmanship, we are the first fruits of His creatures, Halleluyah! The new man is the greatest and best of all God’s creation.

Brother, sister, now that you are in Christ, now that you are born again, you are entirely new. See yourself as new. Behold! All things are become new (2 cor 5:17). The old nature of sin is gone. You were created to do good works. In times past, you couldn’t do the will of God. But now in Christ, God is working in you to will and to do of His good pleasure (Phil. 2:13).

Your success in your walk of sanctification requires that you acknowledge this, and thank God for it. If God calls you new, you are new!

Meditate and confess the scriptures mentioned in today’s article, as well as other scriptures that talk about the new you. Do so with thanksgiving to God for His word.
