Are you a Missionary or an Impostor?

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen”

(Matthew 28:19-20).

Jesus, before he ascended, gave the disciples (and by extension, everyone who believes in Him), the Commission to go into ALL nations and teach them the word of God.

2Corinthians 5:15,18  say ‘And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again’, ‘And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.’

You’re truly a Christian when you do not only believe that Jesus died for you, but also that you live for him. Evangelism is the preoccupation of a true and properly taught Christian as he is mission-minded in everything that he does.

Understand that the subject of evangelism to a child of God is not an ancillary talk, but is the main talk. This is because a true child of God makes his plans and decisions around the plans and decisions of God. And God’s overall vision is that all men be reconciled unto Him by the sacrifice of Jesus.

You are either carrying out this ministry handed down to us or you’re not. If you are, you’re a missionary, and if you’re not, you’re more or less an impostor. Or it could be that you haven’t been properly informed. But today’s devotional remedies the information aspect. The entire kingdom of God is about his business here on earth, ensure today to plug yourself in!
