“Remember the prisoners as if chained with them- those who are mistreated- since you yourselves are in the body also”. Hebrews 13: 3

What do you do when you hear of people who are being killed for believing the gospel? Does it move you when you read reports of people who have lost their houses to the fires of persecution? Does your heart bleed to read about children orphaned persecution? Are you aware that some countries get Christians imprisoned for no other reason but that they believe in Jesus? Have you prayed about it?

Today’s charge is an urgent instruction to you. Remember the prisoners as if you were chained with them. Don’t be indifferent! Don’t be unperturbed. Pray brothers and sisters. Paul tells you what to pray.  He says to pray: “…that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith”. 2 Thessalonians 3:2.

Have you ever prayed for those on the mission fields? Never? When last? For how long? Again today’s text says that you remembered the mistreated since you are one body with them. Bare their burdens. Stand with them in prayer. Do so today.

Pray passionately for everyone who is being persecuted all over the world, that they be delivered from wicked and unreasonable men.
