“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”  Acts 10:38

Previously we shared about how the Lord Jesus expelled several demons in his earthly ministry. Once, the Pharisees, moved with Jealousy accused him of using Belzeebub to cast out Belzeebub. That accusation was a simple one to debunk. First, the Lord Jesus said: “A kingdom divided against itself will not stand”. Meaning, if really I was of the devil I won’t cast out devils.

Secondly, he says, it’d take a stronger man, to case a strong man out of his house. The logic here is beautiful. Having established that Satan could not be the source of his power, he went on to establish that whatever power he is using must be stronger than that of Satan for it to be able to expel Satan. Of course that must be the power of God. Hallelujah.

Don’t let your view of the power of God come from movies and people’s opinion. In the word of God, you see tremendous power in the name of Jesus. The power of the enemy doesn’t even come close! The mere presence of Jesus in the room was a torment to demons. Greater things are spoken of you in Christ! As you go about your weekly activity, bare this in mind. Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world!
