Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Phil 4::4
Joy in the Holy Ghost is not an oxymoron. This is not a very popular opinion in the body of Christ especially because today the Holy Ghost is usually symbolized with extreme somberness.
Yet we see a journalistic report of the acts of the apostles, one that was reiterated countless times in the new testament, and the book of acts in particular.
And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.
And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
The writer described the believers and disciples to be filled with Joy upon hearing God’s word. It doesn’t just call it Joy, it calls it great Joy.
We are instructed to do same irrespective of our situation and circumstance. Joy is a fruit of our recreated spirit and we must consistently give expression to it.
As you go out today, let the Joy from your spirit find expression in your dealings.
