The Believer & The Local Church

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Heb 10:25

In the Bible, faith in Christ Jesus was always followed immediately with a decision to associate with other believers.

Almost everyone who believed in the redemptive work was immediately added to the church (Acts 2:41)

Avoiding regular fellowship was expressly rebuked in the Word of God (Heb 10:25).

I’ve realized that ‘unseriousness’ in the things of God is usually a result of staying away from fellowship because there is a kind of accountability you have when you have believers as friends, people you share the same doctrinal beliefs .

In fact, most of the books in the New Testament were written to churches, thus implicitly implying, that an individualistic mindset in the faith was rejected.

Make a decision today to associate with fellow believers within your local church.
We are not called to be spectators, but active participators in the Church.
