Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
The phrase ‘all spiritual blessings’ in the opening text shows us that Christ is the highest demonstration of God’s love.
It intimates us on the reality that God can never prove His love better than what He did in Christ. Christ is God’s best and highest gift.
Romans 8:32 reiterates the same thing. It says ‘‘He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?’’.
The Apostle Paul used this as an attempt to engage the Roman readers in a logical understanding of how what God did in Christ, was indeed the best and highest show of His love. That is, if He gave you His best without you even asking for it, how can He then not give you all things, with Christ, freely?
It is therefore logically inconsistent to think that God would give Christ for free and other things at a cost. No! This is the testimony of the man in Christ. I’ve received the best of God! Hallelujah.
Action Point: Say this “I have received the best and highest gift of God.”
