GROWING UP SPIRITUALLY

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh
(Gal 5:16).
Imagine that someone has been complaining about how weak he feels physically. Then you ask, “Have you eaten lately?”Only for him to reply: “Not in the past four days.” I’m sure you’d give him the ‘what did you expect’ look.
It’s the same way several Christians go on for days without prayer and bible study but keep complaining that they are not growing. You probably think you’re special, even more special than the incarnate one who himself was given to prayer and fasting while he was here.
So what do you do? Come up with a structure and schedule that works. Someone once said that you make time for what is important to you and you make excuses for things that are not important to you. Spending time in prayer and study of the word is indispensable if you would grow spiritually.
Once you have a plan, revisit and revive it often.  If you realize you’re slacking, sit up immediately. The cure to prayerlessness is prayer, not talking about how you need to pray. Also, don’t neglect fellowship with the brethren, the body of Christ is available for your edification.
DO THIS: Put structures in place to facilitate your spiritual growth.
