“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16

The teaching of love in the scriptures has a primary focus and consistent context. It concerns salvation!

A perfect example of love is God sending Jesus to provide salvation for our sins.

As honourable as it will be to attempt to share the love of Christ with people by giving them food when they do not have and all that, the most important thing for us to do will be to share the gospel with them.

God’s love was demonstrated by Jesus Christ taking steps towards the salvation of mankind. It’s not different today.

We discern His love primarily, in the context of His redemptive work.

John said: “…Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood” Revelations 1:5.

Paul said: “…the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” Galatians 2:20.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8

God’s love that was manifest in Christ by the provision and consummation of the salvation plan is in us for the announcement.

His pro-activeness towards my salvation was the proof of His love.

I walk in His love when I am also pro-active about the salvation of others and boldly declare the gospel to them.
