HIS POWER AT WORK IN YOU

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”
Ephesians 3:20

Prayer is important. But even more important is how prayer is done.

Before Jesus died and resurrected, the Holy Spirit lived in no one. He would only come upon a select few for some special assignments. But the man in Christ has the Holy Spirit on his inside.

God doesn’t just do things for the believer, He does them through him. You must believe in God’s ability to do exceeding abundantly above all you can ask or think. But you must go beyond that to believe that he is able to that according to the power at work in you.

Peter and John show us an example in Acts 3 upon encountering the lame man at the beautiful gate:

“And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”
Acts 3:4-6

Wow! You have something to give!

There is a difference between asking God to do something and doing what God has asked you to do.

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” God has commanded you to heal the sick.”
Mark 16:17-18

When someone around you is sick, you don’t wait for God to come down and heal the person. You can say: ‘Such as I have, I give unto you.’ You lay hands on them and expect a miracle.

You can operate in the name of Jesus because his Spirit is at work in you. Act like someone who has got authority.
