DRIVEN BY PURPOSE

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Matthew 28:19-20

Our opening scripture conveys the Master’s heart as well as the responsibility we have received in Him. The love of the Father was demonstrated in the plan for salvation. The love of Christ was seen in the provision of salvation.

Our Love for God and people will be discerned in our announcement of salvation. This is why I often say, “Jesus did it, we tell it!”

“To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”
2 Corinthians 5:19

Hence, any local assembly that has relegated to the background the core mission of the believer will not be worth joining. This is purpose at its peak!

“And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.”
2 Corinthians 5:15

He died for us that we may live for Him. We truly recognize and affirm that Christ died for us when we begin to live for Him. Any local assembly without the purpose of Christ as her priority has misplaced priorities.

Our purpose individually and as a body is to ensure that souls are saved, people are trained for ministry and redeployed to do same, anything outside of this will be to major on the minor.

“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”
2 Corinthians 5:20

If God’s heartbeat still remains the salvation of man, then our purpose will always be within that boundary. This is how we show our effectiveness as ambassadors!
