“And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.”
2 Corinthians 5:15

Yesterday, we examined the meaning of aligning with God’s purpose. The meaning of this purpose was examined and examples of those who aligned with it were supplied.

We also emphasized aligning with God’s purpose as it relates to the plan and consummation of salvation.

We are in a different dispensation now – a dispensation of the announcement of salvation. In the light of this, let’s examine the meaning of aligning with God’s purpose in our day.

In Apostle Paul’s letter to the church at Corinth, he stated clearly that the purpose of the man in Christ is to live for the one who died on his behalf.

“And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.”
2 Corinthians 5:15

No wonder he said in another letter thus – “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21)

Therefore, aligning with God’s purpose in our day is devoting one’s life to the propagation of the message of Christ’s redemptive work all over the world. This is the message we herald!

“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”
2 Corinthians 5:18-20

We must individually and collectively align with this purpose. We must spend and be spent for His cause, plans and ambitions.

Lastly, aligning with God’s purpose commands security and endless supply in this world. While, we don’t serve God for anything He gives, it’s important to state that God takes care of His own.

Make a decision to align with the Father’s purpose today. This is the reason for your existence.
