And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
– Genesis 12:3

In the past few days, we have been examining our authority as believers over all forms of spiritual forces. Today, we will be reemphasizing our blessed state.

In our anchor text, God proclaimed to the patriarch Abraham that he would bless those who bless him and curse those who curse him.

He also declared His blessing upon all people through Abraham. This blessing pertains to us too because we are children of Abraham by faith. (Galatians 3:8)

It is disheartening to find believers who are scared of curses whether fresh or ancestral. If only they had knowledge of who they are in Christ, they would know they have nothing to fear. (Ephesians 1:18-19)

When Balak, the king of Moab asked Balaam to curse the people of God (Israel), he could not but bless them instead as God had commanded. This is beautifully captured in Numbers 23:20.

“Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.”

Friends, we are the people of God. God’s blessing on us is permanent, it cannot be reversed! (Ephesians 1:3)

In Deuteronomy 28, there is a long list of blessings that we often declare over our lives. These blessings were hitherto tied to observance of statutes and laws. Whoever failed to do them was bound to be cursed. (Galatians 3:10)

We thank God for Jesus who is the end of the law for us. He took the curse on our behalf and made us free indeed. Now, all these blessings accrue to us because we believe in him! The following scriptures attest to this.

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.” – Romans 10:4

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:” – Galatians 3:13

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” Ephesians 1:3

Brethren, we’re blessed of God! No curse can stand against us, not then, not now, never. We are exceedingly blessed of God. He perpetually speaks well of us.

SAY THIS: I am too blessed to be cursed. No enchantment against me prospers.
