“But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.” – Hebrews 10:12-13 NKJV
The book of Hebrews is poignant in showing us how the work of Jesus is once and for all. By work, reference is made to His death, burial and resurrection.
Unlike the offerings in the Old Testament that had to be done periodically, the sacrifice of Jesus is once and for all. So is His victory over the devil.
Knowledge is awareness of all that Jesus did. Revelation knowledge is awareness that He did it for us.
No wonder Paul prayed that our understanding be enlightened (Ephesians 1:18-19). We need to know the benefit of Christ’ sacrifice for us!!
We need to know that all that He did is once and for all! We have already exercised victory over the devil, we ought not to be afraid of him any longer.
Being afraid of the demoniacal forces is like David being afraid of Goliath after falling him with a stone and cutting off his head!
Jesus is seated in authority at the right hand of God waiting for us to deal with the devil here on earth.
By rising up from the dead, He became our example in shaming principalities and power (Colossians 2:15). Hallelujah!
We see the influence of demoniacal forces around us when we do not exercise our authority in Christ.
The devil can only bully whosoever believes in his power. He can only exercise dominion over those who do not believe in Christ (Ephesians 2:1-3) or believers who do not know about their authority in Christ Jesus.
Brethren, since you are neither of the two, you must stop giving him a field day in your life and those of others.
Boot him out, once and for all.
