“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord , thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV

God has a plan for your life. You may have heard this more than a hundred times and you probably think it’s a cliche now. No, it’s not. God actually does have a plan for your life.

Just like David, God wants to make a name for Himself with your life. He is thinking thoughts about your future. He wants to give you a hope.

In this season, God wants to work on your mind, He wants you to see His visions. Don’t be too set in the plans that you have for yourself. I’m not saying you shouldn’t plan but I want you to know that whatever plan you have for yourself is infinitesimally small compared to what God wants to do with your life.

Abraham wanted just a child but God gave him more. “He took him outside and said, “Look at the sky and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” Then He said to him, “Your offspring will be that numerous.””
Genesis 15:5 HCSB

Think about this. Is it even possible to count the number of the stars?

See this report from Google:

“Astronomers estimate there are about 100 thousand million stars in the Milky Way alone. Outside that, there are millions upon millions of other galaxies also.”

Wow! Look, you need to learn to look inwards and see the visions of God. He wants to sell a dream to you like He did to Abraham but you must first agree with Him.

As sovereign and powerful as God is, He won’t do for you what you do not agree to. For example, when God wanted to bless the children of Israel, He was more concerned and interested in their freedom than they were. He showed them great signs, but they were so unpersuadable and they limited God.

“Yes, again and again they tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel.”
Psalms 78:41 NKJV

You can limit the influence of God in your life if you don’t partner with Him. Don’t be like the children of Israel, don’t be unpersuadable. Let there be an agreement from within you because the power is within you (Eph 3:20).

And if you think God’s plan can not be fulfilled in your life because you are not enough, remember that God has called people like you. Elijah was a man like you (James 5:17), yet he performed wonders.

Do not worry about how God’s promises to you will come to pass, know that the zeal of God will perform it. Just believe and like Mary, let this be your response, “… Let it be to me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38 NKJV)
