“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 NKJV

God has said this is your year of light. He wants your impact to be felt. In doing this, He wants to work on your mind so that you can see what (and how) He wants you to see.

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”
1 Peter 2:9 KJV

God wants you to show forth His praises. The light being talked about here is not metaphorical, it can be seen in a natural context. Your light has to be evident. If it’s not, then you are missing out on something.

Don’t just make confessions like “It’s my year of impact”. You’ve got to take responsibility. One thing you must know is that it takes more than spirituality to have impact.

To have impact, there are two key things you need to learn alongside your spirituality. The reason some people have a depth of revelation without impact is because they haven’t learned these things.

The first one is Order. It is good to be charismatic but you also need to have a structure. Don’t just do things anyhow, build a working system for yourself. Set goals.
One certain thing about order is that it births peace.

The second one which is the focus of today’s devotion is, Courage. Be courageous!
If you are not courageous, you may not accomplish all that you have been called to do.

The reason a lot of people have not yielded to the call of God in their life is because they lack courage. Truly, things may be tough, but do you know who has called you to come walk on water? Fix your gaze on Him and not on the waves. Be courageous!

There are somethings that God will ask you to do in order to fulfill His purpose for your life. If you are not brave, you cannot do them.

This year, challenge yourself to move in the direction of prophecy and God’s leading in your life. Do not be afraid of failing at first. Face your fear and take those baby steps. It will help you build confidence. Remember, you cannot walk on water if you do not step out of the boat. I challenge you today – Be courageous, God is with you!
