“I have chosen the way of truth; I have set Your ordinances before me.”
Psalms 119:30 HCSB
Welcome to Bible Reading Plan Recap – that time we do a quick summary of what we read in the Bible this week. It’s the 18th week of our daily Bible reading plan.
This week, we read from Mark 10-11, 2 Corinthians 1-6, Psalm 96-101, 1 Samuel 3-16.
1 Samuel 3-16 continues with the story of the boy Samuel and how God called him to serve as a prophet in His house. In these chapters, we read about the death of Eli and his unrighteous sons, the cry of the Israelites for a king just like the heathen nations around them, how Saul was anointed and rejected as King, and the anointing of David as King.
Psalm 96-101 continues with the assertion of the ultimate rulership of God over the whole earth. These psalms speak of God’s nature e.g His unending mercies, majesty and holiness.
Mark 10-11 contains crucial information about God’s idea for marriage , the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, faith and the cleansing of the Temple complex by Him.
Finally, we read 2 Corinthians 1-6. Apostle Paul wrote to the Church at Corinth about his impending visit to them, the comfort God gives, living letters, our future after death and the character of his ministry.
And that’s all we read this week in our Bible reading plan. Have a great weekend everyone. Keep reading your Bible and praying everyday.
