“All those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons.”
Romans 8:14 HCSB
This week, we have been considering the believer’s alternatives to worry and anxiety. Today, we’ll consider our advantage as children of God who enjoy the leading of the Spirit.
When you are tempted to worry about the future or current situations, here’s what you must remember: You are a child of God, dear believer! God is willing to lead you and is watching out for you.
God leads you in your daily decisions so trust Him to lead you in your career choices, marriage choice, in ministry work, with your family and in everything.
Don’t focus on the storms, look to Jesus. Rather than obsessing over your problems, obey His word. He will take care of you.
Be conscious of the leading of God in your everyday life and trust Him to continue to lead you. More importantly, obey the leading of God. Don’t leave God’s instructions unfulfilled because they seem impossible or difficult.
Like Abraham, God might ask you to leave all that you know and follow Him (Genesis 12:1). Like Isaac, God might be asking you to stay in a place that looks unpromising and trust that He will provide for you and prosper you (Genesis 26:2,12).
You might be worried that you have missed your timing for the right relationship or career opportunity but by the Spirit of God you can actually know the right things to do at the right time.
God is always leading you. The question is “Are you yielding to His leadings?”
Instead of worrying, do these: Trust God and His word, pray and receive peace. Yield to His leading.
