“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a reward of those who diligently seek Him.”
Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

When it comes to receiving from God, our anchor text instructs us that faith is essential. We cannot receive from God that which we do not believe He is interested in doing in and for us.

So, if God wants to show up in a particular area of your life but you lack expectancy, it wouldn’t happen.

This is the case when it comes to being relevant in our world. By nature, we have supernatural advantage; we have the wisdom of God in all things. By the Spirit, we have insight into the happenings of our time (Gen 41: 25-32, Acts 11:28).

But, we must learn to translate spiritual insight into actionable steps. God can give us instructions that we need to carry out in practical steps.

Take Joseph and the early church as an example. Both times, the Spirit revealed that a famine was coming. The people responded by planning to save and take collections.

As long as we are on this side of eternity, we are not exempt from the happenings of life. But, we can prepare beforehand. This is another way we stand out from the world around us.

Beloved, God gives you wisdom which, when translated practically, makes you valuable. This brings you prosperity and influence. But, you must be hardworking. If you are replaceable, no one would want to keep you around them.

Proverbs 22:29 AMP says, “Do you see a person skillful and experienced in his work? He will stand [in honour] before kings; He will not stand before obscure men”.

It was the hardworking nature of Joseph and Daniel that kept them relevant in their time.

This is your year of Light. See what God has done in others and position yourself to receive. Open your heart and let the wisdom of God cause you to stand out.
