“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
Psalm 23:4 KJV

It’s very easy to get anxious these days as there is a lot of negativity all around. So it’s natural for us to feel this way as human beings, however, that’s not how we ought to operate as believers.

We are not of this world, so we don’t fear the fear of the people of this world. The Bible clearly tells us whose we are and who we carry in us:

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
1 John 4:4 KJV

Knowing that God is in us, is enough reason to be calm amidst the storms of life. The Bible instructs us not to be anxious but rather we should boast in the ability of our Daddy.

Worrying can never ever solve any of our problems neither will it bring an end to them. Like they say in Nigerian local parlance… “problems no deh finish”, that is, problems are unending in life. As you solve one, another one shows up. (Matt 6:27)

Rather than complain, boast in God when problems show up. See how David boasted in God in Psalms 23.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
Psalms 23:1 NKJV

Dear friends, that Psalm is our reality! When it looks as though you’re getting overwhelmed by the challenges, boast in God! This is how to win! When you do this, it births calmness in your life and helps you make better decisions.

Do This: knowing God is your Daddy, practice boasting by reading Psalms 23 out loud.
