“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When gossip spreads, the original story often gets so distorted that people start to hear everything but what actually happened.

In the same way, the message of the Gospel has been distorted in our day. Many preach character or behavioural modification, healing or financial prosperity instead of the gospel.

Some preach a tweaked gospel because they think that grace is too forgiving and lavish, so they decide to impose a works-based standard on Christians.

This goes against the very clear message of the gospel. The message of the gospel portrays the grace of God lavished on mankind.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” – ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:8-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

There is a warning in the message but the gospel is not a fear-filled message. We were given a message filled with wonder and awe. It is so amazing that it fascinates the angels. (I Peter 1:12)

God has given us the right message (John 3:16-18, Romans 10:9-10), it is our responsibility to preach without any embellishments.
