“I will rejoice and be glad in Your faithful love because You have seen my affliction. You have known the troubles of my life.”
Psalms 31:7 HCSB

Welcome to Bible Reading Plan Recap – that time we do a quick summary of what we read in the Bible this week. It’s the 37th week of our daily Bible reading plan.

This week, we read from Luke 22-23, Hebrews 7-10, Proverbs 24-26, and Isaiah 31-45.

In Proverbs 24-26, we got acquainted with wise sayings about valuing knowledge, wisdom and understanding like:

“A house is built by wisdom, and it is established by understanding; by knowledge the rooms are filled with every precious and beautiful treasure.” – Proverbs 24:3‭-‬4 HCSB

“A wise warrior is better than a strong one, and a man of knowledge than one of strength…” – Proverbs 24:5 HCSB

Isaiah 31-45, on the other hand, contains a variety of prophecies about Israel, the coming of the Messiah, and a narrative about the threat of a heathen king against Hezekiah.

In Luke 22-23, we read about the plot to kill Jesus as well as His betrayal, the Passover (or the first Lord Supper), Jesus’ teaching about leadership, Peter’s denial, and Jesus’ trial before Pilate.

Finally, in Hebrews 7-10, we see how Melchizedek foreshadowed Christ, the superiority of Christ’s priesthood, the inferiority of the Old Covenant ministry to that of the new, and how Jesus is the perfect sacrifice.

And that’s all we read in our Bible reading plan this week, family. Have a beautiful weekend, praying and studying the Bible.
