“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
Romans 1:16 KJV
In John 15, Jesus outrightly informed His disciples what it means to follow Him. Here is what He told them:
“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” – John 15:18-19 NKJV
One of the things to love about Jesus is His honesty. He didn’t sugarcoat His words, rather He clearly told them what they were getting into.
News flash, He was talking to us as well. Look, the moment you received the life of Christ and gave yours to Him in consecration, the world began to hate you. Why? Because it is the destiny of the church to be hated by the world. Don’t be that Christian who cowers because the people of the world don’t like them.
The truth is that, no matter how awesome you may be, people may not like you because of your faith. If you keep relying on their opinions, you may not make a great impact in life. To have a great impact with the gospel, you’ve got to be bold!
Brethren, you have an agenda to preach the gospel to the world. Regardless of the fact that the world doesn’t like your faith, you must stand your ground and make bold declarations about your faith and the gospel.
Be ever ready to contend for your faith (Jude 1:3). Don’t overlook lies when you know the truth. Speak up. Stand your ground.
Give yourself wholly to prayer and the study of God’s word. Reckon that God sent you to preach the gospel and dare to be bold.
Again I say, do not cower in fear because God sent you. This is what He is saying to you:
“Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9 HCSB
Dare to be bold in this world of contradictions. Preach the gospel with boldness!
SAY THIS: God loves me and He is with me. I will not be afraid of the world. I will not cower in fear, I will step out and preach the gospel with boldness.
